Dare to be Different is a global, not-for-profit initiative spear-headed by former Formula 1 development driver Susie Wolff. In Australia the program is backed by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS). We offer school girls aged 8-14 a unique opportunity to participate in our free Dare to be Different events.
The goal of the program is to grow interest in STEM subjects and industries amongst school girls with the aim of increasing female participation in these sectors, using motor sport as a tool to expose them to the incredible opportunities and career paths.
“The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and were very impressed by the opportunities available in the motor sport Industry... the energy and smiles on the girls faces coming home yesterday were pure joy.” - Susanne, St John Fisher College

CAMS has joined forces with Susie Wolff and the Dare To Be Different team to launch the program in Australia.
The initiative will help young girls from around Australia to understand the opportunities that await them in the motor sport industry, whether it is as a driver, engineer, mechanic or one of the many other roles in a growing industry.
Former Formula 1 development driver Susie Wolff formed Dare To Be Different in 2016 alongside Rob Jones, then CEO of the UK's Motor Sport Association (today known as Motorsport UK).
The not-for-profit organisation aims to inspire and celebrate women in every aspect of motorsport.
Dare To Be Different also hopes to change the preconceptions of a male-dominated sport by increasing participation of women to spark change.
